NORML@UCF Presents: Robert Platshorn

Hey, buds! Today, Wednesday, March 4, we’ll be hosting guest speaker Robert Platshorn at 7 p.m. in room 221 of the Student Union. Platshorn was arrested in the 1970s for leading a group that smuggled tons of marijuana into the U.S. through Miami. He served 30 years in prison, making him the longest imprisoned nonviolent marijuana offender. After being released, he began working with The Silver Tour, a non-profit organization dedicated to educating senior citizens on medical marijuana and its medicinal benefits. Come out tonight to meet him and hear about his journey!
